“I'm used to a Microsoft 800 keyboard/mouse combo that doesn't even have an on/off switch. Do you need to regularly switch the keyboard and mouse off - say, overnight - to get decent battery life? Thanks!”

Nope - I leave mine on all the time and the battery lasts at least a couple months - I just have 2 sets of rechargeables that I swap as needed - Was surprised at the life of a single set of batteries on this set - since I've had other keyboards/mice that would go through them every week or two but in this combo they last a very long time between swaps.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi, the MK270 keyboard uses 2 AAA batteries and is rated to last 36 months. The mouse in this set uses 1 AAA battery and is rated to last 18 months. You do not need to turn the keyboard on/off unless you desire. These times are rated based on average office usage and can very by customer usage.
