For gaming wired will always be slighly better but it should work fine for gaming.

I've used this to play games on Steam's Tabletop Simulator and it hasn't caused me any problems.

My son uses this for his Alienware tower for gaming. He has not had any issues with lagging, loss of signal, etc. He sits about 6 feet away from the tower and games for hours at a time

i've only used it for oldschool games like redneck rampage,doom,duke nukem. but so far i haven't had any problems

My grandson uses it for this. He seems to be very happy with it. No complaints so far.
