Batteries are supplied with this. They go in both - the keyboard and the mouse. Read the instructions that come in the box. If you buy the keyboard/mouse off the street/garage sale - the 'keyboard takes 2 'AA' batteries, the mouse take 1 'AA' battery. I use BB (Dynex) rechargeable batteries. (I do Not advocate any brand - Use what you feel comfortable with.
