Hello BRUNO, Yes, the Logitech MK360 mouse and keyboard combo uses replaceable batteries. The keyboard comes with 2xAAA batteries rated for a battery life of up to 2 years. Certainly, 'these keyboards use a battery' - and just one battery, but two or more. What kind? Those little cylindrical kind suitable to the applicable task at hand.
