“The integrated numeric keypad works when I put my password in to start up my laptop, but not the numbers when I use it after that. Although the functions below the numbers will work. How do I fix this?”

• After pressing the num lock key the numeric keypad should remain on numeric operation upon subsequent keyboard on/off cycles unless you again push the num lock key or you select a one time function use per key by combining with the alt key.

• The simple fix is to verify that your NumLock is enabled after you login because Windows will turn it on for the password screen regardless of the Num Lock setting.
