How do you replace the mouse null

Any logitech mouse will work as long as it has the Unifying symbol on it... nowadays thats most any Logitech mouse.

Plug the included bluetooth dongle into a USB port and its ready to go.

Hello JW. The MK540 uses our Unifying Receiver, so you can pair any other Unifying mouse to the same receiver. You can pair them using the Logitech Options software available at www.logitech.com/options
