“I had an mk710 keyboard for 6 years. When it died, I bought a new mk710. But this one requires that I sacrifice a USB port for the "unifying device." The old one worked fine without it. Is there any way to run the new one without using my USB port?”

• The keyboard does not respond if I plug the device into my hub. It works only when plugged directly into the computer.

• Not really. You'll need to sacrifice one USB port. However it will recognize the receiver plugged into a multiport hub or dock.
