• That's correct. To use the USB transmitter requires USB port (via dongle or hub). For Android/iOS devices use Bluetooth for simplicity.

• Yes. The MK850 is Bluetooth compatible for smart devices. Not all tablets are Bluetooth mouse compatible. - Will, Logitech.
