Did you try the small on/off switch on the right side toward the back of the keyboard? I only ask because I did not know it was there and had problems with mine at first. I actually took one back and exchanged it because it would not connect. Now I think it was likely turned off and I didn’t know it.

The on/off switch is nearly impossible to find (on the right side edge of the keyboard just below the battery icon) I went through all kinds of other troubleshooting steps before realizing it had been turned off by mistake.
