No. It comes with a decent charge right out of the box.

Please try again later.It's probably okay until you need to charge it, just use it until it dies then when you plug it in make sure you leave it plugged in until it fully charges. As with most batteries, it's a good idea especially the first few times to use the full battery cycle (use it until it dies then charge it completely), that should get you the most battery life.

You can actually have it plugged in and charging while you initially use it.
