This will trigger video clips embedded in your presentation but every clicker I have had would as well. This really comes down to I believe the way in which you set up the video in your presentation. If you embed it to play on a click then it will with any clicker as far as I am aware.

To be honest, it depends on how you attach/embed the video. I was able to get it to work by attaching the video activation as on of the animations. This may also work with the one you currently have if you did not try this method.

Yes, but others do also if you edit the animations timing to animate the video as part of click sequence. (Not an obvious step but google start embedded video with presenter click and you’ll find steps shown.) Our works well, but Keynote doesn’t allow it to animate, only PowerPoint.
