I own this case, bought it about two months ago and work great. I like that it has replaceable batteries that last up to 4 years. With the new update on ur IPad you can even use a mouse.

To determine what generation of iPad you have, you will want to find the model number. You should be able to locate that on the back side of the tablet. It begins with "A". The model should also be listed in the "settings" app of the iPad (icon is an image of a gear). Tap "general" and "about". If the model does not begin with "A", tap that model number to reveal the shorter model number beginning with "A". This Slim Folio case is for iPad 5th and 6th generation. 5th generation model numbers: A1822, A1823. 6th generation: A1893, A1954. I hope this helps, enjoy! -John
