Older boxes may not have been updated for the newer generations. I bought two of these, the first in a box labeled (7th, 8th & 9th Generation), the second a week later from the same hook, and behind the first, labeled for (7th and 8th Generation). Yes, it fits Generations 7-9. It links with Bluetooth, but you likely know that system. Unfortunately, I'm an analog guy in a digital world, trying to get away from Microsoft PC (Banish Windows 11, bring back XP!).
