• Yes this keyboard can be disconnected so IPad can be used separately.

• Yes. You won't be able to type as long as it is separate from the case, but you can easily take the iPad out.

• I separate the iPad from the enclosure at least once a day. All you've got to do is push your thumb down on a corner and it pops right out, all within a second. It pops back in almost as easily.
