• this particular model is only for the ipad air. they do sale one that is for ipad air 2. the way the case is designed you push the ipad air into the slots that hold onto the side top of your ipad. it fits based on width of the ipad air so it would be too big on the clamps. your ipad air 2 would fall out of this one.

• It would fit since they are the same dimensions but the holes would not line up for the camera, mic, and flash on the back because this was designed for the iPad Air and those devices were moved slightly on the iPad Air 2.
