“Will these work for a PS4? My son has his PS4 setup through a computer monitor, not a tv, so there’s no sound at the moment: trying to get sound. Will this work or does anyone know how to get sound?”

He can either plug a headset on the PS4 or buy speakers and connect them to the monitor in order to have sound. I’d recommend buying a good headset in order to have the full experience of gaming
