You can definitely hear them from outside the house if you max them out or put them close to maxed out, but I don't think that it would sound all that nice if you max it out. I use the for my pc and I leave the speakers maxed out, and control the volume through my computer. Leaving the volume at 14 (covering my whole room)- 28 (capable at running through the house).
