Depends what type of record player, if your record player does not have a Pre-Amp built in then no. If it does, it should work fine. Record players always require a Pre-Amp somewhere, some are built into the turntable itself, some are built into the Amp, and sometimes people use a Pre-Amp between the turntable and the Amp.
