Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It depends on where you tapped into the amplifier to feed the Z623 speakers. Normally the answer would be no-the amp would control its own speakers with its own volume control, and the Z623 would be independent of it. However, if for some reason you used the speaker or headphone output (with the green-tipped cable that came with the unit) of said amplifier, and plugged it into the RCA jacks (with adaptors) or mini 3 cond. jack input of the Z623's, then yes: it would control the output to the Z623's. I would need more info on the amplifier and where you plugged into it, and the Z623, to answer this properly. Hope this helps a little?
