QuestionHow hard is it to upgrade to 8TB in the future? Can you simply transfer the software and settings from the old 2TB HD to the new one? Does it work with any brand HD? Does this void any warranties?

- Answer No, its easy to replace the Hard Drive. Before removing the old hard drive just backup any video then remove the old one and replace with the 8tb, and then system will ask to format the new drive and it will start recording on the hard drive.

- Answer If the cameras are IP Cameras and if they are compatible with onvif protocol then they should work. However we do not guarantee proper functionality and issues related to non Lorex cameras will not be supported.

QuestionWhat happens when one of these cameras quit working and are not repairable by your geek Squad agents? Do you have to buy a new system? I would think not by the answers giving on here. People ask if they can add on you said yes so it's replacable correct

QuestionHello. We have eight cameras so our boarders can watch their horses when they're away. It looks like we are only allowed 6 users on the mobile app and I really need 8 users. Is this possible? If not, can they log in at home? Thanks!

Questionwe did not go through all of the steps and lost the wizard so it was initially set up with no sound... we would like to now turn on the sound but have been unable to do so... does anyone know how I can do this? Should I put it to factory settings?

- Answer For (4) camera live feeds 24 hours total. So it runs continuous and on the 24 hour 1 minute it deletes along the way. But constantly keeps the past 24 hours saved. If 1 camera alone, storage would likely be 96 hours.

- Answer This NVR comes with one bay only for HDD. However, you can upgrade HDD up tO 8TB.

QuestionIn order to gain "app" access. Does the NVR need to be hooked up to a router that is hard wired to my Comcast modem? How does that work? Someone said the NVR had a USB and possibly could use a Bluetooth Adapter but I don't know if that is true.

- Answer Yes you need to have it connected to the internet. The USB is there to connect a mluse or save video files to A thumb drive. Like if you need to submit to law enforcement as evidence. Never heard of anyone using a bluetooth adapter and cant verify that, but highly doubt it would work. You would still need to install drivers for the adapter and which the OS most likely runs an embedded version of linux i wasnt able to see any way to install other software.

If something happens to your product, you may contact us at 1-888-425-6739, and we will help you diagnose the issue and get a replacement if the item is ever deemed defective. Regarding Geek Squad this is something you would need to address through them.

QuestionAm I correct in understanding that to adjust settings you must have a monitor and mouse connected directly to the NVR? If I install NVR in a closet and run a HDMI thru a wall to a TV, I need to use the mouse to adust the settings ?

- Answer Yes and no, the easiest way yes is to directly connect to a TV or hdmi computer monitor and use the attached mouse. Or you can adjust settings through Lorex home app. OR you can also adjust settings through the IP address on a computer on the same network. I like TV best though, it's a lot easier to see on a 65 inch screen. If you want to hide it in a closet maybe try a wireless USB mouse .
