Are these motion activated null

I have mine configured for motion record on some cameras and constant record on others.

Yes, they are... also have a deference system that active the light when movement is detected

it gives you the option to receive notifications every time it detects movement(car, person, face) within in a certain distance or area you pre select, what I did notice it's if there is a cat/dog/bird nearby it won't pick that up, it records 24/7, you also have the option to take a picture or screen shot of recordings.
