“The set up can be in a laptop or tablet,or is it in a monitor security only?”

• I would recommend using a monitor to do the initial setup to get all the settings how you want them. And after that you can use your tablet, laptop, phone, etc. to view the cameras and do what you want. Then just unplug the monitor (or TV in my case) and don't worry about having it unless you want to make other specific adjustments that are easier to do through the monitor.
