- Answer Yes. Although the nighttime is slightly less clear then the daytime, it is still easy to make out faces from 20’ away with a small amount of ambient lighting.

- Answer This security camera only needs a single Cat5e ethernet cable to connect it to a compatible NVR. This cable provides video transmission, power to the camera, a stable network connection, and installation flexibility up to 300ft* (as the camera does not need to be plugged into a nearby power source). This camera is for a NVR system not this unit.

- Answer I’m unsure of the longest but I have a 100’ attached with no issues. Only 50’ are included so you need to buy longer cables or get the extension connectors.

QuestionI purchased this and a 60 ft extension cable. The camera on the cable goes black at night under low light. Best Buy sells the extension cable directly next to the Lorex system so you would think it can be used. Does Lorex support extensions?

- Answer An important thing to note is that 4K analog HD cameras are more sensitive to cable grade and therefore require RG59 grade cabling and will not work optimally (you will still get video) with cable extensions so single cable runs are required for proper 4K video transmission. Power requirement for the cameras is also slightly higher than for non-4K analog HD cameras and separate grounding is required.
