• No wifi is needed. To record you have a 4K DVR if you bought the set. To save video you can plug in an SD card or flash drive and record and save it to the flash drive.

• Thank you for submitting your question about this product. This camera requires a hard-wired connection to the DVR and it also requires a DVR to record to. The DVR will then record when this camera is connected to it. The Lorex Customer Service Team
