• Rosetta will be installed if it is needed- like a driver. No, it will not run Windows applications- get the apple compatible version of Quicken.

• Rosetta 2 isn’t installed by default, but will prompt you to install it when you run an app built for Intel. It installs within a couple seconds and requires no additional configuration. Just reopen the app and it’ll work from there. Rosetta isn’t a Windows compatibility layer and won't allow Windows apps to run.
