• 2017 27” iMac will work as a display BUT you must use a software called Duet Display! It is about $3/mth to use. There is a YouTube video showing how Duet works. If you want to tear apart your iMac to create a 27” monitor this is possible too! See Luke Miani channel on YouTube.

• Yes you can connect iMac screen to Mac studio It has up to 5 displays for m1 max, 4 thunderbolt up to 6k and one hdmi up to 4K

• No, you Just need to get any computer monitor from LG, Dell, HP, Asus, MSI, Lenovo, any computer monitors will all work and more affordable . I'm used 34'' In ultra wide monitor from LG.
