Yes it will work with 4k monitors. I am using it with the 5k Studio Display Just be careful as I am thinking of a second monitor and from what I read many won't work with M1 Macs so do your research.

Yes, just make sure you have the proper hdmi cable and a monitor that can handle the pixels and at least 60hz refresh rate and you should be good to go. I believe the thunderbolt 4 cable allows 4k as well

Yes. It is designed to use four 6k monitors at 60hz and a 4K at 60hz. Check Apple’s website. The 6ks are Thunderbolt while the hdmi is limited to 4K output.
