• The 14" and 16" Macbook Pros with M1 Pro and M1 Max processors had the touchbar removed and resembles the pre-2016 Macbook Pro function keys. However still remains on the 13" Macbook Pro with the base M1 processor as well as some models using Intel processors.

• Yes they did, function keys have returned but you still get a fingerprint reader on the right
