“Is this required when installing a new radio in your vehicle? Everything I am reading it just keeps your steering wheel capabilities for radio and other features like Speed and Tire pressure stuff like that.If not needed , I will be refunding this”

My understanding is for radio specific functions, no, you don't need the Maestro. You only need the maestro if you want to keep steering wheel controls & the various speed, tire pressure, and other gauges.
