“I have a Logitech and turning off backlighting greatly extends the battery life, but there is no Touch ID in the Logitech. Does the Apple Magic keyboard have key backlighting? Can it be enabled/disabled as needed? Thanks”

The Apple Magic Keyboard has no backlighting for the keys, unfortunately. Maybe some day. Certainly would think so for the price!
