I purchased a TouchID keyboard to use with the new 16" MBP that has TouchID. While the answer is yes, the keyboard will work with any Apple Silicon Mac that supports TouchID, I have found some apps do not support TouchID with the lid closed. I have a password manager that falls into this category, that works when the lid is open, but not closed. When I contacted the author, I was told I have to wait for a new version that will have this support. Something to be aware of.
