Is this everything I need for phone service? null

Not everything, you need an internet connection as well. If you have a device plugged into your modem, you may need a router to split this one port into multiple so you can plug this in as well. Once you connect the Magic Jack to your internet (via provided Ethernet cable, you will then need to plug in a phone/base to the Magic Jack. You will need a computer/phonetablet to register the device online and configure your account.

Well, you do need internet service and you can plug it right into the HDMI port or to the modem itself which is what I chose due to the fact that it would not be sticking out of my laptop, Of course, you would then need to have a phone. You need internet and a router with an available plug. You also need a phone if you don't want to use a computer to make or answer your calls.

You need high speed internet access (cable modem), do NOT try with DSL you will have issues.
