• You would need some accessory that holds the phone and screws onto the plate. Or you could drill a screw hole into your phone.

• You need to purchase a mount for your cell phone that has a quarter inch threaded hole in the bottom and then you can attach the quick release plate to that and put it onto the manfrotto tripod with the fluid head. I enjoy doing plane spotting and taking pictures with my Nikon d500 and my 200 to 400 telephoto lens, and I've seen several people with a cell phone mounted to a tripod with the fluid head.
