• Yes, it will support any camera with a 1/4 inch thread. However, if you put a lens that makes the weight over 13 pounds you will want something else.

• I have a d7000 and it does although I have found it too flimsy. I dare not put my 70 300 lens on it or if I do I will shorten the legs. See my review good luck.
