Yes, any camera with a 1/4 inch thread will work.

No to light in the wt limit. I would go next model up (169 range) or more if you plan to add extra lighting

Yes it will, however the t6i is a slightly heavier camera so make sure you keep the legs wide and if you plan on using it in high winds hands free add some weight to the legs to help provide stability against the wind.
