“Is this tripod good for panning? I've seen a couple reviews that say otherwise”

• Yes the tripod pans very well. You simply loosen the thumb lock and it will swivel side to side and/or up and down. Very easy. You do have to hold on to the handle until you relock the thumb lock to hold it in place. I recommend this product.
