I know you didn't ask for all this, but...…... I am a young 60, and was an audio aficionado in the 80’s and 90’s, where Cerwin Vega and Bose 901’s ruled and big, booming, blow the doors off bass was the norm. Crisp, clean sound and low distortion/noise levels seem to dominate the day. There are of course those that will disagree with my methodology, that would prefer the “all in one” system (receiver), vice going the “separates” route (pre-amp/tuner and amp). The AV 7705 Pre-Amp/MM 7055 Amp combination have some of the following advantages vice the receiver route. The Amp still gets a little hot during peaks but nothing compared to the pre amp - amp combo unit (receiver). In my opinion, the separates run cooler, quieter, have better audio processors, output transistors, integrated circuitry and distortion levels. The amp also has massive capacitors for energy storage vice the receiver. Having said all of that, do yourself a favor, I recommend the separates route, if affordable. You will drop an xtra $1199.00 for the AV-7705/MM-7705 configuration, which will give you zero watts per channel from the pre amp (7705) and 140W per channel x5 from the AMP. This is MORE than enough power to drive my Bowers and Wilkins 700 series S2’s, B&W center and rear surrounds. Subwoofer is self-powered, with 2 outputs available on the pre amp. The SR-7013 boasts 165 watts per channel x5. I call it a high dollar rack system, but it is preference. I complimented my installation with high quality balanced HDMI ULTRA cables (4k) from Audio Quest. Cable quality-very important for audio and video and makes a bigger difference than you think. When I crank this thing, it sounds as if the band is right in front of me. It puts out crisp, clear sound with no distortion at all. The home theater surround sound is unbelievable as well. The only thing I don’t like is the Amp will not shut down remotely, or shut down when the pre amp is switched off. I couldn’t be happier with this system. Hard to beat a 10. It is as close to the Diamond series that I will ever get, with little to no difference at that price point.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Drives ZERO watts per channel.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.60watts
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.AV7795 is a preamp. You will need a separate amplifier to get the power rating with this unit. Or look at a receiver. AV7705 is not a receiver.
