“Does the 70s have the same Marantz sound as the higher level models like the Cinema 60 models with HDAM, is it similar? I want to go Marantz but my space can't fit the taller receivers and I want good sound for music as well as movies.”

We appreciate your consideration. All Marantz receivers will share the same excellent Marantz Sound. The Marantz Cinema 70 is the perfect product when space is an issue. As you move up the line, power and features will increase. What makes for the biggest determining factors are the speakers, the room size and your expectations. A small room with speakers with an easy load will mean less of a difference in performance between receivers. The bigger the room, the more space there is to fill with sound, and therefore the more power required. As you go further up our line of receivers, the more capable they are when the demands are greater.
