So if you buy the game inperson it should take up about 6.8 gbs, but I believe it will be a bit more if you happen to buy the game online.

Assuming you get the physical catridge: At the current moment version 1.7.1 takes up just 111 MB of space once installed (after updates).

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe uses about 6.7GB on the Switch.
