A:AnswerThe Acton II Bluetooth speakers can be used in a pair but have to be placed in the same room, theses are paired speakers and not Multi-Room speakers.
A:AnswerThe Acton II Bluetooth has an SPL rating of 90 dB @ 1 m
The Kilburn II has an SPL rating of 100.4 dB SPL @ 1 m
The Kilburn II has multi-directional speakers which makes for a more saturated listening experience regardless of where you are located in relation to the speaker. The Kilburn II Speaker and the Acton II Bluetooth have different aesthetic styles, the Kilburn II looking more rugged and robust and the Acton II more in-line with the classic Marshall look of Black and Gold. A:AnswerYes, the Acton II Bluetooth speaker has to be plugged in to a power source in order for the speaker to function. The Acton II Bluetooth speaker does not have a battery, it is not a portable speaker.
A:AnswerThe Acton II Bluetooth and the Stanmore II Bluetooth can be paired as a couple for ambient sound, but they won't create a true Stereo sound together.
A:AnswerHello Chaz, thanks for your question. The Acton II Bluetooth speaker can be connected to your device without the Marshall Bluetooth app; in fact, you will always need to manually connect the speaker to your phone or device directly to be able to stream to the speaker. The app will provide some additional features such as remote control, an equalizer and firmware updates. If you don't use the app, we recommend connecting the speaker to the app regularly to check for any available updates.
A:AnswerThe 3.5 aux input on the speaker is an input only, it is not an output that can be used to connect to headphones: it is not possible to connect headphones to this speaker.
A:AnswerYES, but... If your player/turntable has a built in pre-amp you should be able to connect directly to this speaker. When you look at the player,, if you see "line" output or "aux" output then you likely have a built in pre-amp. If you only see "phono" then you need to connect to a pre-amp then to the speaker. If the outputs are "line" or "aux" and are RCA (red and black) then get a male RCA to 3.5mm cable. If output is only phono you'll have to find an inline pre-amp that's wired male RCA to 3.5mm or with cables to fit inputs from player and outputs to 3.5mm speaker. This speaker is exceptional and will be the perfect match for a record player with it's gorgeous retro styling and built in brass knobs for adjusting treble and bass. In addition to making everyone jealous of the looks it will then blow them away with how much great sound comes out. I hope you come back and read this and buy it because I love this awesome speaker and it's absolutely perfectly suited for matching up with a record player. $150 is a great price too. I paid much more years ago and it was a great value as it's still my favorite speaker
A:AnswerHello, thank you for contacting us. I am sorry, this would not be possible with the speaker itself as it does not have a preamp and can only accept LINE-LEVEL input signals. This means you would have to have separate audio mixer plugged into the Acton II Bluetooth speaker. I hope this helps. Take care Dee :)
A:AnswerThank you for your review. Unfortunately in many cases the speaker will only work with a turntable that has a Bluetooth selection screen. Auto-Pairing will not work. We recommend using with Aux input with an RCA to 3.5mm adapter.
A:AnswerThere are many materials used in the speakers: the vinyl wrap around the speaker box, the twine grill, metal, rubber and plastic components in the details.
A:AnswerNo this is not a radio it is a bluetooth speaker. It has phenomenal sound quality and if you can find a source to stream the stations you’re looking for from, it will work.
A:AnswerWhile it looks like a Marshall guitar amp, it only has a 3.5mm connector, so you will need an adaptor. It should work but the speakers are tiny and won't really do justice to be a guitar amp. I'd suggest get yourself a real guitar amp, Marshall or any other brand
A:AnswerHello, thank you for your question. The Acton II Bluetooth does need to be plugged in to operate. We do not recommend leaving the speaker outside for extended periods of time, but it can be used outdoors as long as the speaker is plugged in.
A:AnswerYes, assuming you have sound output from TV/av receiver etc. The speaker has 3.5 mm input so you need a cable with whatever the TV audio output is, RCA/optical/3.5mm etc., on one side and 3.5mm on the other side.
A:AnswerDifferent models with different components. While largely the same, the different models won't be able to pair with other Marshall speakers depending on the model.
The newer "BT" models wont be able to pair with any "Bluetooth" model speakers you may already own from Marshall.
