- Answer Acton III is not rated as dust proof or waterproof / water-resistant. If you are looking for a similar speaker that is rated for light outdoor use, check out Kilburn III -- rated as IP54 dust and water-resistant and can handle a splash of water or a little dirt. Our Rugged Portable Speakers (Willen, Emberton, and Middleton) are IP67 dust and waterproof and can handle more water, but we do not recommend leaving any Marshall speakers outside long-term.

QuestionWill I be able to plug and play to a record player? It sounds like without a control panel you cannot connect a device via BT? Would be looking to run satellite radio receiver via BT and plug to something like an audiotechnica at a place with no Wi-Fi.

- Answer Hello, thank you for your question. The speaker can be left powered on, however, it will turn off after a certain amount of time of no interaction and go into standby mode. To wake the speaker from standby mode, you will need to push one of the buttons on the top of the speaker.

QuestionI still haven’t found the specs where it tells how long the battery life lasts between charging that’s the whole deal with Bluetooth speakers nowadays when you’re outdoors and you’re listening to music and it’s battery battery always runs down first.

- Answer Hello Kat, thanks for your question. In order to connect to the Marshall Headphones speakers via Bluetooth, the turntable must support Bluetooth 4.0 or more recent. It is also useful if the turntable has a Bluetooth transmitter with a selection screen, as customers report mixed success with auto-pairing our speakers to devices that do not have a selection screen available. - Answer Hi Pat, This feature isn't available at the moment but the speakers are equipped to function with Auracast Bluetooth LE Audio as soon as smartphones and other devices offer it as well.

- Answer Thank you for your question. The Acton III is essentially an update of the Acton II Bluetooth. The Acton III has been retuned and has a newer Bluetooth version which has compatibility for Bluetooth audio LE. The over-all aesthetic has been updated and has analog power switches as opposed to the digital toggle found on the Acton II Bluetooth. There is also a control jog added to the speaker. Both speakers are very modern and have great sound quality.

- Answer Hi Dro, the Acton III has an SPL rating of 95 dB @ 1 m. We don't use Watts as a spec as it is isn't comparable across all speakers and has so many variables that affect it: SPL is a measure that can be used across all products. Hope that helps.
