• can use your cell phone as long as you have downloaded ARC ( abbreviation of Anthem Room Correction ) software. Instructions on how to use it should be in owners manual

• Adapter is for a WiFi connection from your receiver to the unit, so you do not have to use RCA connectors. Phone app is free and does all of the settings.
