I tried both, and I heard an obvious difference when bi wiring the 50 XTi. I was surprised because I have tried other speaker brands with and without biwiring, and I usually cannot tell the difference. When biwiring, follow the manual and remove the jumper clips.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I contemplated the bi wire myself but I discarded the idea as complicated and pointless. What I did, I used high quality/pricey OVAL speaker wire with a mono bridged Parasound amp. The main L/R ML ESL speakers are also powered by a stereo high quality Parasound power amp. The center and main speaker power amps connected to the preamp out of a Denon AV receiver, which powers the rest of the surround M/L speakers.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You already have a pair of speaker wires going to your speakers. Just add another pair of wires and use banana Plugs. Just make sure you use quality copper speaker wire as well. Including a good wire gauge. If your speakers are made for Bi wire, than of course Bi wire. Yes it does make a difference with a more independent sound.!
