Hello. Thank you for your question, and we apologize that your question was missed. We had some issues receiving these but believe that is now fixed. The speaker comes with a cut-out template to use to make the drywall cuts, and once the cut-out has been made, the speaker slides into it, and you will use the mounting dog ears on the speaker to attach to the drywall. There are also pre-construction brackets available, but those aren't needed unless someone wants them.
