according to a article i read u can transfer ps4 saves to the ps5 system now the save data im talking about is for the marvel spiderman disc version for the ps4 not the remastered version sony confirmed we can transfer ps4 saves to the ps5 so if u put the disc version of marvel spiderman from the ps4 in the ps5 it will work for backwards compat and the saves should transer over just not on the remasterered version of marvels spiderman.

Please try again later.i now know how it works if you have the original basic version ps4 of spiderman it will work on ps5 and im sure we can transfer the saves from the ps4 disc of marvel spiderman but sony has not talk yet about the system teardown or how all that works yet.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Insomnic Games is very consumer friendly so I wouldn't doubt that they would include something along the lines of that. However, with the game being on new hardware there may be technical limitations for them or even sony, also with the game being technically labeled as a "new game" because it has a new title, new console, etc, I personally don't think your data will transfer, but again I could be wrong because you could/can with destiny, fortnite, gta, etc. We would have to wait and see.
