the game is cool for an eight-year-old to see Spider-Man but a lot of the violence in there shooting beating up people if you're okay with that and can have them understand that this is a game versing the real world then it's okay

The game does deal with themes of death several times and some of the villains might frighten younger children. Other than that it is a fairly tame game but there are darker elements here and there. The game is rated Teen which is recommended for ages 13 and up. Hope this helps somewhat.

I believe, with the correct supervision this game is extremely appropriate. Besides, the Super Hero's are in such demand, you can't go wrong. Try to buy some of the retired LEGO mini-figures! Reward your kids and the payoff will be enormous. Believe me, buy it tomorrow.
