• The drone has a nice grey color to it. The platinum has one of the best colors out there and both mavic drones are worth the money. The p4 obsidian is the only black drone that dji sold

• No, I actually ordered this package thinking the same thing (hoping the drone would be black). The Smart Controller is black, but the drone is gray. After having my drone for about a month or so, I actually prefer the gray & you can always buy skins to dress it up or change color. I don’t know if this is true or not, but maybe you wouldn’t want it to be black after all b/c black may absorb more sun/heat than the gray color does.
