• LucyEthel, the dishwasher isn't vented. The condensation from the steam is collected in the bottom and drained out.

• I hope this issue will be addressed by Maytag. We purchased the same model and the boxed (unopened) dishwasher is still in our garage. Schedule installation by our plumber is early July.
