My new washer MVWX655DW does not have the "removable detergent tray" inside the detergent drawer, like the manual says it should. Am I missing something in my shipment or has there been a change in newer versions of the model? Had no help by phone or chat null

Detergent tray is not removable, saw that confirmed in the booklet. I hate that it is not removable because you have residual water sitting in the dispenser tray, between laundry days and that could pose a problem for mold. I do laundry on Sundays and I shouldn't have to remember after laundry to use a paper towel to soak up the residual water. MAYTAG REALLY!!

Hi Frances, the Use and Care Guide applies to several similar models that might have slight differences in features. We have checked the model number you provided and your model does not have a removable detergent trap in the detergent drawer. We apologize for the confusion.
