“Does this model have a filter? Other washers have a small compartment at the bottom that opens up and you can clean the filter. I can’t find any place where the filter might be.”

The manual on this machine does indicate a pump filter. The access is miserable and requires removal of rear panel or removal of front panel. Both are tough and some recommend as often as monthly.
